A contingent of Steven Label executives, family and friends, visited New York City this month and attended the Explorers' Club Annual Dinner (ECAD 2019) to celebrate 50-years since the Apollo 11 Moon Landing.
(Shown here are the surviving astronauts from the Apollo Missions, honored during the ECAD festivities.)
The Explorers' Club is an international multidisciplinary professional society dedicated to the advancement of field research and the ideal that it is vital to preserve the instinct to explore. Since its inception in 1904, the Club has served as a meeting point and unifying force for explorers and scientists worldwide. Learn more: https://www.explorers.org/
Back in 1969, Steven Label was commissioned by NASA to create the label version of the Apollo 11 Mission Seal.
This seal, designed by Michael Collins (the module commander for the Apollo 11) is now on the moon! It was a thrill for us to meet Michael Collins, himself, at the ECAD Dinner (shown here holding the Mission Seal).
Steven Label was delighted to create a notecard at ECAD, showing the original Apollo 11 mission seal, and to provide a commemorative edition of the seal to every attendee at the dinner.
"The Steven Label team congratulates all of this evening's awardees. We extend our respect and appreciation to all the Apollo Astronauts and are honored to participate in this historic evening." Steve Stong
Here at Steven Label we are incredibly proud to have shared a small part in this historic event in our nation's — and the world's — history!
